PERINATAL OUTCOMES AND PROGNOSTIC FACTORS IN EARLY AND LATE-ONSET FETAL GROWTH RESTRICTION

چکیده

Objective: To evaluate the obstetric and perinatal outcomes of fetuses with early (EO) late-onset (LO) fetal growth restriction (FGR), to explore prognostic factors on survival adverse outcome. Materials Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 105 EO 55 LO-FGR singleton pregnancies. Umbilical artery (UA), middle cerebral (MCA) ductus venosus (DV) Doppler parameters cerebroplacental ratio (CPR) were assessed. Prognostic significance gestational age at delivery, birth weight evaluated. Results: Gestational delivery greater than 27 weeks (sensitivity 87.5%, specificity 76%) 665 g 88.8%, 92%) provided best prediction in EO-FGR. Logistic regression analysis UA absent or reversed end diastolic flow (EDF), abnormal DV Doppler, absent/reversed a-wave revealed Odds Ratios 2.57, 6.97, 4.51 8.75 respectively for mortality The incidence CPR below 5th percentile was significantly higher pregnancies composite outcome normal (p<0.001). Conclusion: are strongest predictors In LOFGR, <5th is associated an increased risk complications.

Early onset fetal growth restriction

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) diagnosed before 32 weeks is identified by fetal smallness associated with Doppler abnormalities and is associated with significant perinatal morbidity and mortality and maternal complications. Recent studies have provided new insights into pathophysiology, management options and postnatal outcomes of FGR. In this paper we review the available evidence regarding d...

Placental pathology in early-onset and late-onset fetal growth restriction.

Several histopathological features are found more frequently in placentas from pregnancies complicated by fetal growth restriction (FGR), including villous infarction, maternal vascular changes and villous morphological alterations, although around one quarter of placentas associated with FGR lack any morphological abnormality on routine examination. Since similar changes may also affect clinic...

Perinatal morbidity and mortality in early-onset fetal growth restriction: cohort outcomes of the trial of randomized umbilical and fetal flow in Europe (TRUFFLE).

OBJECTIVES Few data exist for counseling and perinatal management of women after an antenatal diagnosis of early-onset fetal growth restriction. Yet, the consequences of preterm delivery and its attendant morbidity for both mother and baby are far reaching. The objective of this study was to describe perinatal morbidity and mortality following early-onset fetal growth restriction based on time ...

PURPOSE This study aimed to identify prognostic factors of neurological outcomes, including developmental delay, cerebral palsy and epilepsy in late-preterm and term infants with perinatal asphyxia. METHODS All late-preterm and term infants with perinatal asphyxia or hypoxic-ischemic insults who admitted the neonatal intensive care unit of Inje University Sanggye Paik Hospital between 2006 an...
